Merry Meet!
My name is Javier, and I am the founder and creator of Soul Tomes.  I have always been interested in magic, fantasy, and self-discovery. I have owned and written in many a book along my path, but I have always struggled to find a book that matches my personality. The journals I found in stores were either too plain and not expressive of my personality or devotion. I wanted a book that reflected my style and interests and would also be a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discovery.

Many years ago, while browsing at a bookstore, I stumbled upon a book with a beautiful, intricate design and a central stone that seemed to glow on the cover.  I was immediately captivated and strongly wanted to pick it up and look inside.  Alas, that was not to be, as this book already had an owner seated comfortably next to it.  She was also keenly aware that I was gawking at her book.  Our eyes locked, and what followed was an intense, awkward moment that felt like minutes instead of the few seconds it lasted.  My eyes kept returning to that beautiful book lying there, while the only question in my mind was, where can I get one just like it?
Having figured me out, or maybe she just read my mind, she broke the ice by saying, “You want to know where I found it, don’t you?” She said this while softly patting the jewel gracing the center of the cover. I answered YES!! With an uncontrolled glee unbecoming of a grown man, I didn’t care.
She smiled, and while looking at the book, she said, “There’s only one in the world like it; I made it myself.”  My heart sank, and before I could ask her anything more, she said she was not interested in making any more to sell. I could tell she was being very honest with me. I thanked her for her time and wished her well.

I went home and searched bookstores, websites, and even craft events for a long time, but I never found a book that reached out to me like that one did.

A few years later, after exhausting myself searching, I decided to make a book or make the best attempt possible.  I have always been very creative and handy.  I spent months researching the best paper, binding, cover materials, and designs.

I crafted my first book, which I loved and still have.  I took it everywhere, and soon I found myself in the same place where the young lady was with me many years ago.  I could only muster the same reply she had given me when people inquired where I got mine.  I discovered I wasn’t the only one searching and desiring a book like the one I made for myself.

It felt wrong not to share my creativity and skill.  So I decided to create a new line of magical books.

I launched Soul Tomes and slowly began to build a small community of customers.  My books became popular in the local market I was selling in at the time.

I was thrilled to be able to provide a product that brought so much joy.  I had found my calling.  I retired from my old job so that I could focus 100% of my time on crafting new and beautiful books for my customers—a labor of love and one I take great pride in.
